Continent of the Ninth Seal (C9 Online) is a game developed by NHN Games (Hangame), a popular company that originates from South Korea. Webzen is the publisher of the game in the western market , they are known for games such as MU Online and Soul of the Ultimate Nation. The game is available free from their site. At the moment there are free C9 Online keys around to get into the beta for free, you just need to ask around.Work on the title started way back in 2006 and produced the desired effect as one of the best, free NON-TARGET MMORPG. Engaged in the production of the game's in-house developed engine are eastern martial arts experts to reflect the fighting spirit and a wonderful, realistic style and scenery straight from Asia.
Many of you like playing with the storyline and C9 does have a huge amount of tasks and missions directly related to the main narrative thread. With Online Continent of the Ninth Seal C9 clearly the main attraction is a very extensive system of PvP. The game is available in the form of fighting games (3vs3 arena), who loses is the one who loses all HP and is driven out of the board. The CP is in Intrusion Mode, in which ... you can enter the area and kill every player out there. The person assuming, of course, instances may exclude the above mentioned mod, so that no one from outside could not stop them in the performance of the task. There is also Fury Skills. What are the Fury Skills? These are special abilities that are activated when the bar is full. The Fury Bar is located under the health and mana bars. I do not think I have to add that these are the MEGA effective and efficient skills. In addition to the excellent animation they deal out several times more damage than usual. All your activities affect the rankings. The Korean version even has Guild Wars and the battle for the castle so I guess the English version will too. In the game there are four characters are: Fighter, Hunter, Shamen, and Witchblade. Each of the characters at the level of 10 is promoted to the rank of an elite hero (Elite), the next promotion is available at level 20. You will then face the difficult choice of one of the four available nations.
Monster AI is smart enough to help each other if they see you from far away attacking their own kind. They also have hearing AI so if they hear you approaching from far away or from jumping down area to area they will come at you. Some dungeons may require you to go through a heap of gadgets and puzzles carrying containers, throwing items, passing booby-traps, and constructing items to get through.
Continent of the Ninth Seal introduces us to a new era of non-target MMORPG. It is really great me-thinks!

Rusty Hearts - Castlevania meets Devil May Cry meets Gauntlet for free
My next freebie game to review. When I first saw this game I thought that Rusty Hearts is directed to the anime fans, but imagine my surprise when I started to play the game ... this MMORPG is really one of the better games I have played lately. Super dynamic, super polished, super nice and as a bonus super funny - the conversations and cut-scenes are just funny. Basically this is an arcade-style hack-n-slash MMORPG with a vampire theme and a side-scrolling and multiple-hit-combo-based combat system that you play in a Castlevania-like game. So if you like a game that combines all this Castlevania meets Devil May Cry meets Gauntlet game for free, you will love this – even with the corny humour.
I’ll start with the classes/characters, there are not any simple Warrior, Thief or Mage here, but each character has a little of each of these characteristics. So there is: Frantz – bitten by a vampire but is resisting the blood temptation, he has a sword and axe. Tude - funny, smiling bully bitten by a wolf (is he a werewolf?). Angela – foul mouthed, possessed by an evil spirit and deals in magic. Meilin – a mystery girl and she is a kung-fu master. And lastly Natasha – she is a gunslinger and a mean shot. So you can see each class is assigned to specific weapons it seems you can choose between any until you make a final choice at level 20.
A lot of the time you play online is exploring through dungeons. There are several levels: Normal, Hard, Very Hard, and after that Blood Mode, which requires special permits and the number of people on the team. In your spare time you can have fun in PvP (several modes such as Deathmatch, Tag Team, Solo, etc.), which is rewarded with special points and ranking. This is really one of the best MMORPG I have played in a long time. It looks good and is fun to play. Try it unless you don’t like a closed world, dungeons, vampires and the "cartoon" style graphics.

free browser based MMORPG called Warriors Saga

I have found one more free browser based MMORPG called Warriors Saga. It is a free browser-based game, developed by Chinese online game workshop WooDuan and distributed by Yoogames, that is meant to be inspired by a well-known Chinese novel titled Journey to the West. They say they promise a mixture of Chinese cultures and MMORPG game play by means of turn-based combats, pet system and a hero advancement mode. I have read they have over 100 servers running and the games have been made to play in many languages including English, Thai, Japanese and Korean language.
Each time I play a new game, I constantly seem to judge it against other ARPG games and this one game is a bit like a combo of these games - Zodiac Online, Forsakia and Neverland Online. Anyway, playing the web browser game, Warriors Saga, is a bit like these massively multiplayer online games. For instance in the class system for Zodiac Online, it has twelve Chinese animal signs much the same as Warriors Saga with its twelve characters offered for you to choose. The gameplay doesn’t offer a lot of unique and ground-breaking elements, its style of gameplay is very old-fashioned. I have also found the translations not to be very good, sometimes unintentionally funny.
Warriors Saga feels like it is a bit of a kids online game, just the way the characters wander around in the game but I guess it still is a bit addictive and entertaining. And is it like the book it is meant to be based on? Well I wouldn’t know that at all as I have never seen the book and me, being from a Western culture, maybe wouldn’t comprehend the Eastern style story anyway. Hey, once again it is a free online RPG game so it is still worth a try isn’t it?

Rosh Online, another good free RPG game is very much the same as Last Chaos in looks and how it feels to play the game. I have read that it is an updated version of Karos but I haven’t played that free game to be able to compare.
Character Creation in Rosh Online is a bit limited with only a few different choices of faces and hair and you can only have a male gunner, blader or rogue and a female paladin, mystic and bowmistress.Karos Online, for me, throws you in the deep end a bit for new players as I couldn’t find any tutorial when I played but most things you just right-click and you get to interact with NPCs or attack an enemy etc. and click the screen to move around.
Combat is fairly simple but I can see new players may get confused by the levelling system. You do the normal killing and questing to unlock new quests but it can be a drag with how much there is. Quests are best for levelling as you get a heap more points than the usual monster bashing. There are a few extra bits that seem OK, collecting mini-pets, they help you steal items and recover a little quicker.
Overall not a bad free online MMOrpg game, there seems to be plenty of people playing but really it isn’t that much different to a lot of RPG games out there.

2029 ONLINE - free RTS MMORPG Sci Fi game

Here is another free RPG game to try out. I hadn’t heard of it before so thought I would give it a shot and see how it plays. This free online game is called ‘2029 ONLINE’ and is a mix of the usual MMORGP, RPG but has a bit of RTS thrown in as well.
So I went and download it, didn’t take me long – downloads were fast and the game size is around 350 MB so not too bad at all. Install went smoothly, had to sign up, of course, and verify my email address. After that I was logged in and could make my game character.
2029 ONLINE only has a fairly limited range of character choices – you can only pick from three races – Human, Dryads (like an ogre) and Electronic Elves. Each one, of course, has its own skills and abilities that you can train to improve by levelling-up just like most free RPG games.
The in game graphics are not 3D but a top down 2D that reminds me a bit of the old Diablo games – except , of course, this game is set in the future. Don’t be put off that it’s not 3D so games I think the 3D makes it very poor as the graphics get blocky if not done correctly.
2029 ONLINE game play and combat is pretty good and fairly easy – they have made an easy to follow interface that makes it extremely hard to get lost and the game has intuitive controls. Combine the great interface with the autolocate feature and a heap of different quests lets players of 2029 ONLINE have a really good, entertaining game that has fast levelling. You have to level up to be able to get access to a lot of the areas in this game including lots of special events that the makers announce quite regularly .
There is a little bit of RTS in this game, it’s not full on but still good. The RTS part is how the mercenaries work in the game and is a great idea and works very well. It allows the player to create their own group of mercenaries to go fight with you. Having a group of mercs following you around is great. They do most automated attacks and spells for you and it seems like how a RTS works but you have no real control like a true RTS – it is still a good part of this online game.
Try it out, I found it to be worth playing , you should too.

free sailing MMORPG game - Uncharted Waters Online
Uncharted Waters Online is a massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) that is set around the fifteenth to seventeenth century. It basically is a free online game that lets players sail around in ships and compete to try and conquer hundreds of cities and lands to make sure that their nation is the world’s leading power.
The game is pretty complex and has a bit of a learning curve to understand fully but, really, for gamers wanting a challenging MMORPG try it out. For a free MMORPG this has some real depth to the game.
Uncharted Waters Online has some pretty good graphics, with a good range screen resolutions supported and you can also choose full screen or windowed mode for the game. Once you log in with a free account you need to make a character – first by choose a nationality - Venice, Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands or England. After that you choose whether to be an adventurer, a merchant or a soldier.
As a new player you don’t just go off and start travelling around the oceans. You really must start in a school where three NPC instructors teach you about the three different types of job. By doing this you go on little quests which fully explain the game’s workings and you really need to do it otherwise you won’t know what’s going on.
A lot of the game is committed to the exploring side, meaning searching the globe for cool discoveries in the form of ancient ruins and site, religious relics and artifacts etc. But of course battles on the high sea is what most like to do. The most common form of combat involves ships firing cannon shots from a distance. The larger ship you have, the more cannons it can have but small ships are more manoeuvrable so can ram enemy ships easier. And if ships come in contact their sailing crews will battle it out in free-for-all combat.
But Uncharted Waters Online isn’t all about battles like most small free MMORPGs are. You can also own farms, homes, and make your money by trading with other players. This is one deep game and not a game that all will like as it can take a long time to get a hold on what is actually going on. But like I said if you want a game that isn’t just a bash’em up grind try it out.
