Runescape is a huge game with a huge following. I made the mistake of saying I didn't like Runescape way back last year and got a few comments that I had to delete. Well I guess it is time to have another look and review Runescape as a Free RPG game that you play in your browser. I notice that the CEO of Runescape has posted a letter a few days ago answering peoples complaints - especially, I see, about the Free Player game.
I did have a couple of main reasons I didn't like Runescape Free so I will look at the browser based RPG again.
The graphics in Runscape were very ordinary and looked like something from a game generations old. I am happy to say the graphics have been improved in a major way. They now have a look of a modern game and this has made a big difference to me in gameplay. Check the difference between the old and new on these RPG character faces.
My other point was the free account of Runescape. It, to me, was very cut down and seemed like it was trying to force players to the paid version. I know they are running a business and need to make money. The free version isn't so bad now , they have opened it up a bit and if you seemed to be limited in the free RPG maybe consider the pay version.

Free Download Online RPG – Sho Online
Sho Online is a fairly good looking free, downloadable 3D MMORPG that acts a little like what I remember Diablo 2 was like ( I haven’t played Diablo2 for a long time now but the item system here is much the same, where you can find pieces that will get you extra bonuses when you have the whole set.) but looks very much the style of the great graphics in Silk Road.
The MMORPG game has only three classes to pick from when you start off; Assassins, very adept with daggers and bows and can strike enemies from near and far; Warriors, best at close combat and have the fastest recuperating times and Soolsas, powerful and have the unique ability to create monsters and can attack and confuse enemies with spells from a distance. From these basic choices you can then be promoted to other levels eg, Dagger Master or Archer for the Assassin. In Sho Online monsters drop all sorts of item and weapons that gives you a bit of entertainment while you try to level up. Like I said items can also have random bonuses attached to it as well, which will keep you into the game for sure and has a good monster pet system to help you battle.
One negative for this free downloadable RPG game is the poor English. Sometimes it is a little hard to figure out what the quest actually is. But anyway this game is still worth the download. shoonline.neofun.com

Savage 2 Free RPG, FPS and RTS game
Savage 2 is a fantastic looking team based game that seems to combine all elements of Role Playing Games,Front Person Shooter and Real Time Strategy games. It is the sequel for Savage - The Battle for Newerth. Savage 2 is a free game and we all like free online games don't we?
You fight it out in the game on fairly big battle-fields with the aim to win the game by destroying the other team’s command centre. These are Action players - they are the ones actually doing the physical online fighting. Players choose between two factions; the Legion of Man and the Beast Hoard have they each have seven class types, each of these have different weapons and skills. Also each race has different buildings and upgrades along with play styles.
There is also a team elected Commander - unlike the Action Players on the ground playing a FPS/Action RPG game, the Commander gets a traditional RTS interface, viewing the world top down. This lets you plan, scheme and control resources for the team.
