Here is another free RPG game to try out. I hadn’t heard of it before so thought I would give it a shot and see how it plays. This free online game is called ‘2029 ONLINE’ and is a mix of the usual MMORGP, RPG but has a bit of RTS thrown in as well.

So I went and download it, didn’t take me long – downloads were fast and the game size is around 350 MB so not too bad at all. Install went smoothly, had to sign up, of course, and verify my email address. After that I was logged in and could make my game character.

2029 ONLINE only has a fairly limited range of character choices – you can only pick from three races – Human, Dryads (like an ogre) and Electronic Elves. Each one, of course, has its own skills and abilities that you can train to improve by levelling-up just like most free RPG games.
The in game graphics are not 3D but a top down 2D that reminds me a bit of the old Diablo games – except , of course, this game is set in the future. Don’t be put off that it’s not 3D so games I think the 3D makes it very poor as the graphics get blocky if not done correctly.

2029 ONLINE game play and combat is pretty good and fairly easy – they have made an easy to follow interface that makes it extremely hard to get lost and the game has intuitive controls. Combine the great interface with the autolocate feature and a heap of different quests lets players of 2029 ONLINE have a really good, entertaining game that has fast levelling. You have to level up to be able to get access to a lot of the areas in this game including lots of special events that the makers announce quite regularly .

There is a little bit of RTS in this game, it’s not full on but still good. The RTS part is how the mercenaries work in the game and is a great idea and works very well. It allows the player to create their own group of mercenaries to go fight with you. Having a group of mercs following you around is great. They do most automated attacks and spells for you and it seems like how a RTS works but you have no real control like a true RTS – it is still a good part of this online game.

Try it out, I found it to be worth playing , you should too.

free sailing MMORPG game - Uncharted Waters Online

Uncharted Waters Online is a massively multi-player online role-playing game (MMORPG) that is set around the fifteenth to seventeenth century. It basically is a free online game that lets players sail around in ships and compete to try and conquer hundreds of cities and lands to make sure that their nation is the world’s leading power.

The game is pretty complex and has a bit of a learning curve to understand fully but, really, for gamers wanting a challenging MMORPG try it out. For a free MMORPG this has some real depth to the game.
Uncharted Waters Online has some pretty good graphics, with a good range screen resolutions supported and you can also choose full screen or windowed mode for the game. Once you log in with a free account you need to make a character – first by choose a nationality - Venice, Spain, France, Portugal, Netherlands or England. After that you choose whether to be an adventurer, a merchant or a soldier.

As a new player you don’t just go off and start travelling around the oceans. You really must start in a school where three NPC instructors teach you about the three different types of job. By doing this you go on little quests which fully explain the game’s workings and you really need to do it otherwise you won’t know what’s going on.

A lot of the game is committed to the exploring side, meaning searching the globe for cool discoveries in the form of ancient ruins and site, religious relics and artifacts etc. But of course battles on the high sea is what most like to do. The most common form of combat involves ships firing cannon shots from a distance. The larger ship you have, the more cannons it can have but small ships are more manoeuvrable so can ram enemy ships easier. And if ships come in contact their sailing crews will battle it out in free-for-all combat.

But Uncharted Waters Online isn’t all about battles like most small free MMORPGs are. You can also own farms, homes, and make your money by trading with other players. This is one deep game and not a game that all will like as it can take a long time to get a hold on what is actually going on. But like I said if you want a game that isn’t just a bash’em up grind try it out.

Trickster Online a Free MMORPG game

Trickster Online free mmorpg game Fortunately, I can state one thing about Trickster Online - it has got the possiblity to become an outstanding, demanding MMORPG except there are numerous downfalls that seriously block this game's probabilities of coming through to be on top of list of the best free RPG games. The graphics and artwork are extraordinary, the cute expressive style appears neater than just about any other game I have come across, and it also imparts an heightened 3D feeling and experience to a few surroundings. The sound is sort of crummy, with your regulation bang and crash and the background music is barely mediocre. You will not hear a more hopeless soundtrack.
The character creation could be a little better like there should be more varied jobs and a species shouldn't be limited to just one job. It would be a bit more interesting too if you could choose either female or male. The free RPG gameplay is pretty good, you have the conventional point and click attack but also they've a incomparable card style battle system, in which you equip a card to a skill expansion slot and apply the card to trigger the skill. It is genuinely unequalled, and proposes oodles of room for customisation.
But after you achieve around level thirty, it gets to become a never-ending grind. Trickster, I guess is a little like Maple Story but with different surroundings. The baddies are somewhat right and the big bosses have massive power and to try to beat them is fairly hard but that's good. The quests in Trickster are bit boring as nearly all that I attempted are simply your common wipe out this many monsters and get a reward or go collect an item and deliver it for a reward. Like I said a bit plain and boring but there are heaps of additional stuff to do when you get fed up questing - stuff like buying and selling gear and items, drilling and forging weapons.
They do have special events and they are all right but they're very scarce. You also see game masters and admins online but I haven't notice them interact with the players. The community seems nice and friendly as the short time I played the online game I made quite a few good friends, and so it is genuinely easy to have a party of players because most of the people I bumped into were in groups of more than three players. This was good news for a good free MMORPG game.

Reviewed Runescape Free Player RPG

Runescape is a huge game with a huge following. I made the mistake of saying I didn't like Runescape way back last year and got a few comments that I had to delete. Well I guess it is time to have another look and review Runescape as a Free RPG game that you play in your browser. I notice that the CEO of Runescape has posted a letter a few days ago answering peoples complaints - especially, I see, about the Free Player game.

I did have a couple of main reasons I didn't like Runescape Free so I will look at the browser based RPG again.
The graphics in Runscape were very ordinary and looked like something from a game generations old. I am happy to say the graphics have been improved in a major way. They now have a look of a modern game and this has made a big difference to me in gameplay. Check the difference between the old and new on these RPG character faces.

My other point was the free account of Runescape. It, to me, was very cut down and seemed like it was trying to force players to the paid version. I know they are running a business and need to make money. The free version isn't so bad now , they have opened it up a bit and if you seemed to be limited in the free RPG maybe consider the pay version.

Sho Online is a fairly good looking free, downloadable 3D MMORPG that acts a little like what I remember Diablo 2 was like ( I haven’t played Diablo2 for a long time now but the item system here is much the same, where you can find pieces that will get you extra bonuses when you have the whole set.) but looks very much the style of the great graphics in Silk Road.

The MMORPG game has only three classes to pick from when you start off; Assassins, very adept with daggers and bows and can strike enemies from near and far; Warriors, best at close combat and have the fastest recuperating times and Soolsas, powerful and have the unique ability to create monsters and can attack and confuse enemies with spells from a distance. From these basic choices you can then be promoted to other levels eg, Dagger Master or Archer for the Assassin. In Sho Online monsters drop all sorts of item and weapons that gives you a bit of entertainment while you try to level up. Like I said items can also have random bonuses attached to it as well, which will keep you into the game for sure and has a good monster pet system to help you battle.

One negative for this free downloadable RPG game is the poor English. Sometimes it is a little hard to figure out what the quest actually is. But anyway this game is still worth the download. shoonline.neofun.com

Savage 2 Free RPG, FPS and RTS game

Savage 2 is a fantastic looking team based game that seems to combine all elements of Role Playing Games,Front Person Shooter and Real Time Strategy games. It is the sequel for Savage - The Battle for Newerth. Savage 2 is a free game and we all like free online games don't we?

You fight it out in the game on fairly big battle-fields with the aim to win the game by destroying the other team’s command centre. These are Action players - they are the ones actually doing the physical online fighting. Players choose between two factions; the Legion of Man and the Beast Hoard have they each have seven class types, each of these have different weapons and skills. Also each race has different buildings and upgrades along with play styles.

There is also a team elected Commander - unlike the Action Players on the ground playing a FPS/Action RPG game, the Commander gets a traditional RTS interface, viewing the world top down. This lets you plan, scheme and control resources for the team.

Age Of Armor - Free 3D Sci Fi RPG

Age of Armor is a free Sci-Fi based 3D RPG game in which you, as a player, are in a super powered mech to do all your battling. There are two factions warring against each other and you must choose to be on one of the side, of course, either United Earth or Republic of Mars.

Game players start with a fairly basic mech but you can soon get enough parts to customise it. While you are doing the battles you can also explore around the space system and by exploring and winning battles you collect new parts for your mech. There must be 100's of different parts to upgrade your mech. Players can learn heaps of fantastic skills and complete some pretty good missions and in doing so you also take part in your faction battle (PvP - Player V Player battles, cool!)

When you are in town you get out of your mech to wander around and interact with other people and buildings, not a bad way of doing things. This free RPG game is worth a try, if anything because of it's different setting, out in space.

This is a little bit different. It is not a Free Online RPG Game review
but an MMORPG game maker program that is completely free. I think there is software called GameMakerXP but you need to buy it this one I am talking about is open source and completely FREE!! It is called RPG Studio!

To me it would have to be the easiest and fastest way for someone to make their own Multiplayer Online RPG (MMORPG). You don't need to know any programming or scripting all is done by simply clicking your mouse. There are tons of game resource libraries or you can even create custom game resource libraries if you want and it has heaps of wizard tools to help you make your ideal Online RPG game.

I am guessing that because you can change any aspect of the games graphics etc that you could even make a fantastic, free online Pokemon RPG that would be better than say Pokemon Platinum! Have a look at a screenshot to see how good looking a RPG game can be.

The target audience is mostly for 2D/3D Artist who wish to create a sample game for High Profile demo to display their art capability in an actual game. Also for Game Designer / Level Designer as a tool for Rapid Game Prototyping to show their talent on designing the game itself. And for game story writer, to create a good story directly within a game (or collaboration between all of them). Lastly ofcourse for everyone to create their own dream MORPG without thinking about how to program or how to draw animation.
The process for developing the game itself is very fast within seconds a MORPG can be played, NO programming NOR scripting involved at all, just mouse clicking. The interface itself is not very serious and scary, but fun and designed for common people minded. With a lot of video tutorial, FAQ Help and plenty of easy tools to use, everyone can contruct a game from ground up to a full blown serious Multiplayer Online RPG very fast. The online and multiplayer capability is automatic, no need additional effort.
The game produced is a feature complete RPG, may even be compared with current famous 2D MMORPG such as Ragnarok Online, Tales Weaver, Maple Story,Hello Kitty Online, Nostale etc.

Atlantica Online is an impressive looking and playing 3D turn based fantasy RPG (well really a MMORPG) where you as a player get to control several different characters in combat - to explain it better, I think it is like a free Final Fantasy game - the battle are very much like that.

Atlantica Online has an amazingly massive game world that is from real places. Not that I have gone far in this game, the maps show that you can travel to places like North East Asia - Korea, Japan...South East Asia - India, Indonesia, Malaysia...Europe - Spain, Italy, France...Africa and lots more. The battles are really fast paced combat so don't be put off by it being turn based and so is levelling. This makes Atlantica Online a real fun RPG game with great worlds and graphics and game play.

Florensia Free 3D Fantasy MMORPG

Florensia was released the end of July, for English (Western) speakers, and it is a very interesting free online RPGs to play. This free RPG lets you as a player to explore the Florensia world on land and over the sea - hmm something different in a MMORPG. The game style is pretty good with fantastic graphics if you have a pretty good PC - the play style on land is much like other MMORPGs but the sea part is a bit like Tale Of Pirates (I will review this Pirate game soon).

In Florensia you have a choice of four classes: Explorer, Mercenary, Noble and Saint. And you build your own ship - there are five different ship types choose in the RPG. So, of course, in this game you explore the Florensia country and the cruise the ocean to get to other lands where you meet some good enemies and monsters in the while solving various quests and riddles.
Play this online game alone or create a party of friend to form a guild and battle and explore this way. This is a very new game a many parts of their website are still under construction but the game still plays fine, it is being constantly updated with fixes and new quests etc...

4Story A Great Free RPG Game Like WOW

4Story looks to be fantastic quest style 3D MMORPG that to me looks and plays like the great game World of Warcraft (WOW). This is a very new game and still in the Beta stage. The graphics are really good, the first thing I noticed about this free rpg game was how close it is to WOW in looks, the character and scenery are the same cartoon/anime style.

Typically like most RPGs it has three races, this RPG game has Humans, Werebeasts, and Fairies and from that class/skills of Warrior, Assassin, Archer, Wizard, Priest and Summoner. The quests in the 4Story MMORPG are pretty good, not as good as World of Warcraft because of the poor text translation and some other bugs (but remember it's a Beta) but great for a free RPG game.

As I mentioned 4Story is a lot like WoW, so if you after something original maybe try some other good free RPG game but do try it if you want a free game that looks good and plays how a MMORPG should. I think it will be one of the really top free RPGs for the next year or so.

Pokemon Global Online a Free Pokemon RPG Game

Pokemon Global Online is a great free RPG Pokemon game that I have been looking at for a while now. This online pokemon game is constantly updated and looks like a group of new people developing it to make it even better.
I have had a few emails from the head programmer about it's future and it looks very promising. The screenshots look superb and I really think that this free online Pokemon RPG game will be even better than the all time favourite Pokemon Crater Battle Arena v7.

Pokemon Global Online has just released an update, it is now Beta v1.5. so try it out. I have been told that they are going to have an online version that needs no download, completely online, great stuff!
So, if you are missing playing Pokemon Crater Battle Arena and are upset that it is not available any more well give this free RPG game a try. It is one of the best.

Fairyland Online | Good Free RPG Game

Fairyland Online is an interesting online RPG that is all about fairy tales, adventures and cute characters. This good free RPG looks like it would be quite good for children but is also good for adults to play. Fairyland is drawn in a nice 2D/3D style with Japanese animated cuteness everywhere.

Fairyland RPG has got a really neat pet system, monsters that may attack can be adopted and trained as pets - great to take on quests. You can choose from three races each with unique benefits - Human is the most versatile race, with no apparent strengths or weaknesses, Elves are an ancient and magical race and Dwarves are an earthly and secluded race. Once chosen you can chat, battle quest, whatever. There are lots of quests and a ton of things to do - you can even get married!!
A free RPG worth checking out.

WindSlayer RPG | Good Free Online RPG Game

I have just come across another good free online rpg game called WindSlayer. It is a 2D side-scrolling massively multiplayer online role-playing game, just like Maplestory RPG (more about that in a later post), in which you’ll journey through the Windslayer world to become a great adventurer.

WindSlayer is a classic free role-playing game (free RPG) in which defeating monsters and bosses gives you experience and treasure but it also has great player v player (PVP) battles. Actually the monsters do look like they would be home in an online Pokemon game. Online players aren't just trying to level up to make their character stronger, you also can upgrade weapons by gaining weapon experience points in the PVP battles. This gives you more power in the weapons when in role-playing style.

I am really impressed by this Good Free Online RPG Game, it looks great and plays even better!

Darkness Springs is a really good free online RPG that I posted about a little while back.
Well, it has been so popular they have released an additional area named ‘Chapter II’. The game is extended to include more than 20 maps to explore (total 80 now), 11 new quests to solve (about 40 RPG quests total now), more unique items and enemy types and continues the main free RPG story line.

The game play is good with heaps of quests to do and the level grind is kept to a minimum because you have an in game bot that does it for you. There is plenty to do with quests and professions and a there is a lot of classes to choose, the game play is balanced so you won’t need to be a expert with free MMORPG’s to play the game well.

Eternal Lands is a great looking Good Free Online RPG Game. One of the best things in Eternal Lands is it has no fixed classes or professions, so you can always do new things and develop new skills without having to create a new character! Meaning you don't have to stay as a magic based player - a great idea for all good free online mmorpg games I think.

Lots to do in this free online game - You can fight monsters and other players, hunt animals, or join with a group of friends and take them on together. You can mine ores that you turn into bars of different metals to make various armor and weapons, even farm flowers and herbs to mix together to concoct magical potions. And even summon animals and monsters to follow and fight for you.

The online game experience is very good, there's always someone new to talk to in global or private channels, guilds to join, places to explore, all with an easy to use chat interface. Chat makes it very interesting.
And it is only a very small download PLUS there is a Windows, Mac OSx and Linux versions, WOW!

The Best Free Online Multiplayer Naruto Game | Naruto Arena

Naruto Arena is a good free online RPG game based on the great manga and cartoons of Naruto and it is bascally a battle with three Naruto characters against three Naruto characters. You and your online opponent needs to choose three characters that will fight, Naruto style, until you or the other player is completely down.

Each Naruto character has 100 health points and your aim is to get your opponent's characters to zero health. In order to do this, you will work out battle tactics and strategies to cause damage your opponents. By using Chakra, your team is able to perform different skills, such as stun, defend or damage.

So far the only good free online Naruto RPG game I have found worth playing.

There are some negatives though, mainly you need to pay to access some things and the graphics look like something straight from the '80s. Its good if you play for a little bit , not a game for people who want to play for most of the day . Give this one of the free online RPGs to miss.

RAN Online is one of the most popular free RPG games in Asia. Basically you are a student with a mix of martial arts and superpowers and you have to kill zombies with other players.
RAN Online has a full 3D Japanese campus style setting where the students have to fend their school against dangerous and evil monsters. If you join a different school you wear a different uniform and use different techniques in fighting. The graphics in this game look totally awesome, not just the scenery but the players and items as well.

Pokemon Arena Project

Pokemon Arena Project.

What is the Pokemon Arena Project? This is a huge fighting smash 'em up game (Like Nintendos Super Smash Bros Melee).

Pokemon Arena Project will eventually contain all the Pokemon but first they are concentrating on the main characters. It will have Bulbasaur, Charmander ,Squirtle, Meowth, Pickachu, Pichu, Machop, Chicorita , Totodile, Cyndaquill, Tyrouge ,Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, and Riolu .

Levels will include random opponents, Team Battles and Boss battles. Boss Battles are the Legendary Pokemon Battles and are Usually a 3 on 1 basis if theyre huge like Groudon but ones like Mew or Mewtwo, Teams will be optional. After the Legendaries are Beaten a number of times, they will become playable.
This looks like it will be one of the Good Free RPG Games for 2008.

It's free forever, has advanced graphics, four playable races - Two are good(Human, Elf) and two are evil (Vail, Death Eater), full screen, no lag, fun quests, coolest pets, you can choose playing with your mouse or with the keyboard (like WoW) - very fun to play! Some of the English translations aren't great though. All in all Shaiya is a Good Free RPG Game.

The new Pokemon Crater for 2008

I think this will be the new Pokemon Crater for 2008 (maybe you could say it's Pokemon Crater Battle Arena version 8).

Pokédox is an MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) in the making by a person by the name of Ryan. His goal through this personal project is to create a game similar to those of the Gameboy series, except all online and very interactive. He hopes of generating a community of Pokemon fans that are interested in this kind of game he is making.
Essentially he wants to create an extremely high quality game everyone will enjoy, along with some other interesting knick knacks to be quite fond of.
Looks like its a good free rpg game.

Star Wars: Combine

I was reading up on Star Wars Galaxies, the MMORPG currently available on Sony’s portal, and found an interesting free online Star Wars game called Star Wars: Combine. It’s an online rpg simulation game similar to the old classics like “StarFlight”. It’s massive, it’s multi-player, and it’s free!

Some of the features include custom character building, ship customization, space and ground combat, an economic system and more than fifty character classes.

This is no flash hack game, this is a fully featured Star Wars online gaming experience and I highly suggest you check it out.

In the Ancient times, a fearsome ruler in the line of Arkahron ruled with an Iron Fist. This ruler was called Atu'los, because in the Ancient tongue this meant that he was both wise and evil. Atu'los used his wisdom to study the dark arts, a gift that according to legend, was sometimes found in the lineage of Arkahron. Atu'los awoke many great and terrible forces, and became more powerful than any other that has lived. Atu'los conquered all the lands of the Ancient world, and ruled them for many years.
But Atu'los was not immortal. During a war with a band of mountain dwelling rebels, Atu'los was struck in the neck by an arrow. Nearing death Atu'los retreated to his castle. There Atu'los died and was placed in a burial chamber that became enchanted by powers still unknown. Over the centuries the region was named after its ancient ruler ... Atu'los.
